February 8th : Demon Basketball, Jaren and Noah

Same game from February 7th, yes, cheating again, but I decided since I take so many pictures, if I miss a day here and there, I can make up for it.  Above is Noah, Jaren's friend, below, Jaren bringing the ball out from a rebound.

February 7th...Jaren...more Demon Basketball

A little grainy, due to using 800 speed, but in the BHS gym, the photo will get too dark if I go to 400.  I have been reading some photo books, etc. and they told me to do this.

Once again, I love the face in this photo.

February 6th...I know, I took a lot of photos of this guy

Winding Down...getting ready to put pajamas on, but not without a little entertainment first.  He took his socks off to show me the "FUZZIES" in his toes.  Apparently he is very obsessive about this.  I love the faces in these photos.  Unfortunately, his mom and dad came shortly after these were taken and took him home...

February 5th: The BOSU Ball

One of my favorite photos of the year...so far!  He tried 3 times to get on this BOSU ball, once he got on it, stood on it and watched Football on ESPN.  I have collegiate athletes who have trouble with this.  :)

February 4th...More Brooksy

He loves the kitties...and Tommy, is very patient with him.  Even when Brooks was really little, Tommy would sit and let him clobber him.
Playing "Panno" with Jaren.  Oh, he likes the piano....

February 3rd...Brooks comes to visit

I'm going to cheat again...the next few days are going to be photos from this day as I took quite a few of Brooks.  He moves all the time, so the trick is to get a photo that isn't blurry.  He is 19 months old in these photos...has turned into a little boy already!  It was Kasey's birthday, so we got to take care of him while Kasey and Taylor went out for dinner.  He ate dinner with Kyler...
That little boy face, just melts my heart.
Showing me where Kyler is.  He doesn't see us very often, but he remembers everyone and calls them by name.

February 2nd

In the Athletic Training Room at school...this athlete had an adverse reaction to either ice or the plastic bag that the ice was in.  Look above the patella and you can see that his skin is raised.  It is also a little red.  This happens occasionally, but the trick is to figure out if it is the cold, the plastic, or even the dye that is in the writing on the plastic bag.

February 1st: Jaren's Finger Avulsion 6 weeks post

Jaren avulsed his extensor tendon on his 5th phalange on December 16th playing basketball.  It's looking pretty good, still a little swollen, but it will be for a few months.  He was unable to play basketball for a couple of weeks, but is back in action.  He was blessed with big hands.  The picture below is just another angle of his hand...

January 31st...Jaren

Playing with lighting...I played on the dark colors of Kyler's room in this picture, as well as the dark shirt he is wearing.  I love how digital photography is all about the details.  You can see the individual hairs on his face.  (and doesn't he look angelic?  His head is glowing!)  Must be the magic of the camera
This picture is more about the contrast, and a little bit of angle, just to set it off a little.

Kyler...Studying

Kyler always studies in his room...for some reason he likes to kneel against his bed.  He has a desk, but this is what he likes.  Today I just tried some different angles...Hopefully he passed his Anatomy Test!
I love how the light reflects on just part of his hand in this picture..
